Our street is like most streets in Khmer villages. It’s the centre of daily life and it’s more for people than for traffic. It’s a safe place for the village children, and as soon as they can walk they go out on their own because everyone looks out for them, everyone knows where they live.
There are many one-family businesses, some who drive their mobile shops into town, and some who sell goods and services to their neighbours here. For most things that you need in everyday life, you don’t actually have to leave the street, and many of our neighbours rarely do.
In the evenings, villagers gather together often to celebrate the day. Everyone brings something to eat and drink. Please join us, visitors are always welcome!
